Skeletal remains of an unknown black male, approximately 28-38 years old, approximately 5'5"-5'8" tall, were found on March 2nd, 2007 on the west side of DeSoto Parish. The victim was shot in the head. The remains are approximately 6 months to 1 year old. We do not currently have a male missing in DeSoto Parish.
There is a reward.

William Gipson, a black male, born on July 12th, 1956, 6'0", 170lbs, was reported missing from Keithville, LA on January 24th, 2004. His nude body was found on January 25th, 2004 7 miles south of Mansfield, LA. He was shot one time with a large caliber handgun.
The victim has a long criminal history. This case is drug related. There is a suspect. There is a reward.

Darrell Daron Williams, a black male, born on April 3rd, 1967, was killed with one shot to head on February 28th, 1999 with a .45 caliber handgun or a .410 gauge shotgun. The body was found in the Hillsdale area of Mansfield, LA.
This case is drug related. There is a suspect. There is a reward.

Larry Wayne Lester, a white male, born on September 11th, 1951, was reported missing from the Fair View Alpha area of Natchitoches, LA on June 24th, 1988. His body was found on October 2nd, 1988 in southern DeSoto Parish. He was shot with a .380 pistol.
Lester cashed a $15,000 insurance check on the day he went missing. The person that took him to get the check cashed was Larry Thompson of Fair View Alpha. Thompson is currently in prison for other crimes at this time. Lester was involved in methamphetamine traffic in the Red River Parish and Natchitoches Parish area.
There is a suspect.

William J. Strella (AKA Richard Lawrence, AKA William Tuttle), a white male, 57 years old, was found dead on November 6th, 1986 on the then closed portion of Interstate 49. He was wearing only under shorts & socks. He was shot 6 times with a 9mm pistol. He was last known to be at the Delux Budget Inn in Ft. Worth, TX at 6PM on November 5th. He told some friends that he was going to Atlanta, GA with some friends.
He was under endictment in New York, NY by the US Department of Justice on a $40 million real estate deal and oil & gas business. He was a known con man.

Doisha "Dodie" Gay, a white female, 18 years old, 5'5", 105lbs, blonde hair, a senior at Northwood High School, was kidnapped on April 20th, 1979 from Eastgate Shopping Center in Shreveport, LA. Her body was found on June 1st, 1979 on LA 510 approximately 2.5 miles off of US 84 east of Mansfield, LA, under a bridge.
Cause of death was a hairline fracture on the lest side of her skull. Missing from the body were shoes, an engagement ring, an onyx ring, a pearl ring, Northwood High School Class of 1979 ring, purse, earing, and a gold necklace.
There is a reward.

Steve Hamilton, a white male, approximately 68 years old, was reported missing in December of 1974. His body
was found on July 8th, 1978 in a pond near Longstreet, LA. A car engine head was tied around the body with a chain. He was shot in
the chest with a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with buckshot. Mr. Hamilton was a large cattle owner.
2-3 people were involved in this homicide. There are suspects.

Michael Norris Catlett, a white male, born on August 27th, 1948, 5'10", 140 lbs, was reported missing on December 29th, 1975. His body was found at the old Mansfield City Dump several months later. He came to Mansfield, LA in a 1975 Dodge truck with a camper shell. There was approximately 400lbs of marijuana in the truck. The truck was found at South Park Mall in Shreveport, LA on January 1st 1976. There was a small amount of marijuana left in the truck, and the truck was wiped clean of prints.

The marijuana was to be brought to two black males in Mansfield, LA. One was Johnny Ray Partner who lives on Elizabeth St. Mr. Partner admitted driving the truck to Shreveport, LA for an unknown person. Partners phone records show a large number of calls to Edinburg, TX and Larado, TX.
Catlett was a known drug dealer from the Edinburg, TX area. He was a member of a Mexican drug cartel there.
Catlett came to Mansfield with a Mexican male named Victor Barajas (date of birth March 3rd, 1955). He is still missing.

Daniel "Dan Stokes, a white male, was shot once in the head on November 14th, 1970 at his residence on Laura St. in Mansfield, LA at approximately 7:40PM. Mr. Stokes owned Stokes Tire & Appliance Store. A Cold Detective Special .38 caliber revolver was stolen from his business between November 8th & November 14th. He was shot with a .38 caliber handgun.
He is believed to have been shot in the back of the head, then placed in a lounge chair in the living room. It is also believed that the victim and killer knew each other, as there were no signs of forced entry or any items missing.
There is a suspect. There is a reward.
