Married to Carol Patrick for 29 years. Father of two sons, Ethan & Micah. 30 years in law enforcement and in his fourth term as Sheriff of DeSoto Parish. Graduate of Logansport High School, FBI National Academy, and Wiley College-Major in Organization Management, Minor in Criminal Justice, FBI LEEDS (Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar) and National Sheriff's Institute. Member of National Sheriff's Association, DeSoto Chamber of Commerce & Boy Scouts of America, Executive Board. Sponsor of the Sheriff's Youth Camp and Youth Sportsman's Shooting Team. Chief Deputy Patrick Cobbs (318) 872-3956

Married to Linda Webster Cobbs for 46 years. Father of one daughter, Lisa, & grandfather to Daniel & Brandy. Began law enforcement with the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office in 1980. Organized reserve deputy program and served as president until 1984. Began full-time status working as a patrol officer. Attended Bossier Parish Criminal Justice Institute in 1985. In 1986 assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. 1988 attended Louisiana State University Law Enforcement Institute for Supervisor and Management. In 1995, he became the Administrative Assistant to the Sheriff. In 2000, he was assigned to lead the Tri-Parish Drug Task Force. Appointed Chief Deputy in 2005. Served as pastor of Carmel Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Currently pastor of First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill.
